Public Firework Displays: Not A Friend To Your Airways and Lungs

Large commercial public firework displays are the new norms these days. It seems that more and more municipalities, no matter what the size, are hosting fireworks as part of a national holiday and more frequently a capstone to unique local festivals that provide an economic boost to the local economy. But all this economic stimulus comes as what cost to the long-term health of our atmosphere and the public’s lungs and airways, as well as the untold impact to the local flora and fauna.
