Gas Buddy App – Review

GasBuddyOne of Green Blizzard’s favorite fossil fuel saving smartphone apps is the Gas Buddy App. That’s ironic, given Green Blizzard’s single focus of helping readers reduce their carbon footprint. Finding fuel options more efficiently, driving fewer miles in doing so, is a positive move towards a greener footprint. Gas Buddy, helps you find the cheapest gas in your area.

Although not entirely on target as an environmentally helpful- it does mean that you are putting less money into the highly profitable oil industry’s pockets. We rationalize that Gas Buddy will improve your sustainable lifestyle and reduce your carbon footprint by driving fewer miles shopping for gas while making smarter consumer decisions.

You will find that your are putting fewer miles price shopping and better yet less money in pockets of those highly profitable oil companies and leaving you more $$ to invest in green-saving purchase decisions.

The Gas Buddy app automatically locates nearby gas stations, listing the current price per gallon, along with directions, miles, and estimated drive time from your current location.   Prices are reported by other users and are updated frequently.

According to some seasoned users – not perfect, but overall pretty good value.

Most users love the latest version currently out on the Apple App Store.  It’s FREE and widely subscribed with tons of users sharing up to date information on the latest prices.
